Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Tallinn, Estonia
The weather was so nice coming out of the cathedral. It's an Old Town that feels very touristy and almost un-Estonian, but the clean streets and the relaxed vibe of the people make it feel like you're in one of the Nordic welfare states. People wearing sunglasses were tanning on every patch of grass and bench, so I figured no one would stare if I lay down too. The only slight problem was that instead of just resting for a bit, I completely passed out drooling on the grass. And when I woke up, all the kids who had been lying around me were gone? (Those traitors...)

As you stroll around, you find yourself on magical streets where you keep ending up back where you just were, eventually leading to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the city hall building. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, with its three distinct domes, doesn't allow photography inside. Also, you can't even enter the city hall building. Therefore, I just quickly snapped some exterior photos. Perhaps because it's a Russian Orthodox cathedral, the exterior looks like something I saw in Russia, and the interior gives off that same Russian vibe.
The square between the cathedral and the city hall is bustling, acting like a meeting point for flag-following tour groups. Time flies by just sitting on the cathedral entrance steps, staring at the pink city hall and the people walking by. Maybe it's because I just traveled here from Russia, where people rarely changed their facial expressions, but the faces of tourists expressing joy in various ways really caught my eye.
