Cafe One of in Changnyeong: A Simple Space Near Daegu
After stopping by a cafe, I grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed to another cafe. I feel like I've been drinking coffee all day, but the one I visited this time really left an impression because it felt similar to a cafe I went to in Ubud, Bali.
Arriving at "One of" after driving past rice paddies, you'll find a solitary building that feels both simple and like a work of art. There's a well-kept lawn out front that's great for taking pictures. However, the real charm of this cafe reveals itself when you look out at the fields from inside. Just like waking up in Ubud and having a cup of coffee while looking at the rice paddies, it's a great place to enjoy a drink while watching the quiet, slow-moving scenery.
One of the unique features of this place is that it's a no-kids zone. This is a helpful policy for those who want to quietly enjoy the view. Because of this, you won't see any families with children here. The target audience is clearly couples, making it a great spot to drop by during a scenic drive.
Along with your drink, they give you a card explaining what it is. This is a method mostly used in espresso bars, but applying it here in a cafe out in the middle of the countryside gives it a more premium feel. The coffee itself tasted great, though the prices might catch you by surprise.
Still, it's a place I'd definitely visit again if I'm passing through the area.
