One Day Before Departing for Russia
In life, things often unfold in completely unexpected ways. This trip is one of those cases. At first, I was just going to submit an application for the 'Around the World in 80 Days' project by TV producer Na Young-seok. But before I knew it, I was looking forward to a trip visiting three Russian cities—Irkutsk, Moscow, and St. Petersburg—before returning to Korea. None of the original members I was supposed to go with were really into the itinerary (unless we actually got picked for the project), but once just one travel companion joined, everything proceeded in a flash. And just like that, another completely unplanned, spontaneous trip of mine has begun.
For this trip, I want to be a bit more meticulous and capture my feelings exactly as they are, so my goal is to write in my journal every day (if I don't write it down, my bad memory will forget it). I also decided to record the journey by shooting some trendy timelapse videos. Knowing my laziness and how much I love sleeping in, sunsets are probably the most likely candidates.
And the most important, unavoidable goal: spend as little money as possible. (My severance pay balance is already hitting rock bottom...)
With my budget this tight, I'm not sure if I can pull this off.
