Surf Shack, Da Nang: Cute Dog, Mediocre Burgers

I started my morning with an extra dose of laziness, so I ended up skipping breakfast entirely and going straight to lunch. For some reason, we decided to grab burgers for lunch today and took a Grab to the My Khe Beach area. The place was tucked away in an alley rather than on the main road, so we were forced to take a little neighborhood stroll. We originally planned to go to Burger Bros, but a golden retriever suddenly popped out to greet us, so we ended up walking into Surf Shack instead. It was nice having such a gentle dog around, but the poor guy smelled like he hadn't been washed in days. I was a bit worried the smell might ruin my appetite, but I was already starving and didn't have the energy to walk any further.

The burger itself was actually pretty mediocre. Maybe it's because the restaurant scene in Korea has gotten so good lately, but this place falls way short of being called a must-visit spot. The patty had a lot of gristle in it, and I have no idea why there was a fried topping on it. Plus, with the strong dog smell lingering in the air, it's just an okay place if you're actually looking to enjoy a proper meal.
